How much does the course cost?+
$399 one-time, or 3 monthly payments of $149. Both plans include the same content and the same pass commitment. No hidden fees, no upsells inside the course.
What's included for $399?+
Everything: California Law & Business course, your chosen trade classification course (General B, C-10, C-20, C-36, C-39, C-13, C-27, and more), unlimited practice exams, flashcards, an AI study tutor, printable notes, and email support from our team.
Do you cover my specific classification?+
We cover CA Law & Business (required for every license) plus a growing library of trade classifications including General Building (B), General Engineering (A), Electrical (C-10), HVAC (C-20), Landscaping (C-27), Plumbing (C-36), Painting (C-33), Roofing (C-39), Fencing (C-13), and more. If yours isn't listed on the pricing page, email us before you buy.
How long do I have access?+
12 months from purchase. If you follow the course and don't pass within that window, our pass commitment extends access until you do. See our guarantee page for the exact terms.
Can I get a refund?+
Yes. Full refund within 14 days if you've completed less than 25% of the course. Email Support@licensecontractorschool.com and we'll process it within 5 business days.
Are you affiliated with the CSLB?+
No. We're an independent exam-prep school. The California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) issues the actual license. We prepare you to pass their exam.
Is this course enough on its own to pass?+
For most students, yes. The material is built directly from the CSLB exam blueprint and California codes (Business & Professions Code, Title 24, CalOSHA, etc.). If you complete the lessons and hit 80%+ on our practice exams, you're ready.
Do you help with the CSLB application itself?+
We include a walkthrough of the application (Form 7065), experience verification (Form 13A-11), fingerprinting, and bond requirements. We don't file the paperwork for you, but we show you exactly what to do.
How is this different from a $50 practice test app?+
Practice questions alone don't teach you the code. We include full lessons on Law & Business and your trade, updated for current California code, plus an AI tutor that can answer follow-up questions in your classification's context.
What device do I need?+
Any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone. Nothing to install. Your progress, notes, and highlights sync to your account.
