These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of licensecontractorschool.com and the courses, materials, and services offered by License Contractor School ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Site. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.
2. Accounts and access
Your account is for your personal use only. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account. Sharing course access with others is prohibited and may result in termination.
3. Purchases and billing
Prices are shown in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe. If you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge each installment on its scheduled date. If a payment fails and remains past due, we may suspend your access until the balance is paid.
4. Refunds and pass commitment
Refunds and our pass commitment terms are described on the Refund Policy and Pass Guarantee pages, which are incorporated into these Terms.
5. Educational content, no legal or licensing advice
Our courses prepare candidates for the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) Law & Business and trade exams. We are not affiliated with the CSLB or the State of California. We do not guarantee licensure, and passing the exam is not a substitute for meeting all CSLB eligibility, experience, bonding, and background requirements. Statutory amounts, fees, and rules may change; always confirm current requirements with the CSLB.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not copy, resell, or redistribute course materials.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to access data that is not yours.
- Do not use the Site to violate any law or infringe any right.
- Do not upload malicious code or interfere with the Site's operation.
7. Intellectual property
All course materials, questions, lessons, flashcards, videos, and content on the Site are owned by License Contractor School or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to access and use the materials for your personal exam preparation only.
8. User content
If you submit notes, highlights, or messages, you grant us a limited license to store and display that content back to you as part of the service.
9. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, License Contractor School will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or posted on the Site with an updated date.
