Setting up a productive, safe jobsite.

Site access

Plan vehicle access, parking, and material delivery before work starts. Identify pedestrian protection, signage, and any street use permits needed. Poor site logistics drive up labor cost faster than almost any other factor.

Material staging

Stage materials close to where they will be installed. Protect them from weather, theft, and damage. Trash bins and recycling go in a location that does not block deliveries. A clean site is a safer site and a more productive site.

Temporary utilities

Coordinate temporary power, water, and toilets early. Cal/OSHA requires a minimum of one toilet per twenty workers, with handwashing nearby. Temporary power must be inspected before energizing and protected with ground-fault circuit interrupters.
